Vocal Agility

Whilst these exercises are aimed at developing vocal agility, they are also useful for establishment of good basic technique, breath control and support, and intonation. The melody line has been given, and there is an accompaniment line which can be used for all exercises once the melody is secure. I have used these exercises to assist students who tend to “hold” and sing in the back of their throat because the tempo does not allow for this. Sing to a vowel. If you are working on keeping the voice forward, put “gn” in front of the vowel.
